What more can I say. It's a beautifully casted lid. It also fits perfect on the Lodge and Stargazer 10.25" skillets.
It's a lot heavier than I expected. Unlike the skillet. The weight of the skillet is oerfect.
My mother purchased a glass top stove a little while ago. Her go to #8 pan concerned me. It didn't sit flat. It worked for the old fashion electric range and a gas stove. Glass top, to so much. After some research, I found Field recommended for glass top. I purchased one and have been very happy. It sits flat on the stove. Just have to finish seasoning so I can really put it through its paces.
Simply the best cast iron I've ever used! Seasoned and ready to cook right out of the box, and with the lid, there's just about nothing I can't cook. I will be adding more Field cast iron to my kitchen for sure.
